This clay is obtained directly from the earth and transforms to a creamy colour after being fired through oxidization. It is highly pliable and can be used to create pottery using either hand-building or throwing techniques.

It has a shrinkage rate of 10%.

The depth of its colour increases when fired within a temperature range of 1100 to 1250 degrees Celsius.

It comes in 15kg bags with a smooth texture that has been filtered.

This clay is a completely natural product and is 100% sourced from South Australia. It is perfect for creating glazed ware and works best with stoneware glazes that are fired at temperatures of 1200+ degrees Celsius.
